700 BHN Sheets and Plates are manufactured from high-carbon, alloyed wear-resistant steel. The typical chemical composition includes approximately 0.30–0.50% carbon, 0.70–1.60% manganese, with controlled additions of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and boron to enhance hardness, toughness, and hardenability. These plates are quenched and tempered to achieve a nominal hardness of around 700 Brinell. Mechanically, they offer extremely high resistance to abrasion, excellent compressive strength, and good impact resistance, making them suitable for severe wear applications.
