Alloy Steel Grade 91 is a chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloy steel with a typical composition of 0.08–0.12% carbon, 8.0–9.5% chromium, 0.85–1.05% molybdenum, 0.18–0.25% vanadium, and small additions of niobium and nitrogen. This precise alloying provides excellent creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and high-temperature strength. Mechanically, Grade 91 offers a minimum tensile strength of about 585 MPa and yield strength around 415 MPa, making it suitable for extreme service conditions.
