ASTM A513 tubing is primarily carbon steel and comes in grades A, B, and C with varying carbon content to accommodate varying strength and flexibility requirements. The overall composition is carbon (0.25-0.30%), manganese (0.60-0.90%), phosphorus (0.035% max), and sulfur (0.035% max). The mechanical characteristics of ASTM A513 tubing are high tensile strength (to 80,000 psi), good yield strength, and good elongation, which make it suitable for welding and forming. The tubing also has excellent resistance to corrosion and wear, providing long-lasting performance in harsh applications.
