Alloy Steel F911 Bars, as per ASTM A182 Grade F911, are based on a modified 9Cr-1Mo alloy system. The typical composition includes approximately 0.08–0.12% carbon, 0.30–0.60% manganese, 0.20–0.50% silicon, 8.00–9.50% chromium, and 0.85–1.05% molybdenum. Controlled additions of vanadium (0.18–0.25%), niobium (0.06–0.10%), and nitrogen (0.03–0.07%) enhance creep strength and toughness. Mechanically, F911 bars offer high tensile strength, excellent creep resistance, and good toughness at elevated temperatures.
