AISI 4130 Pipes are chromium-molybdenum alloy steel pipes with a typical chemical composition of 0.28–0.33% carbon, 0.40–0.60% manganese, 0.80–1.10% chromium, 0.15–0.25% molybdenum, and maximum 0.035% each of phosphorus and sulfur. This alloying provides high tensile strength, good toughness, and excellent hardenability. Mechanically, AISI 4130 offers tensile strength around 560–670 MPa and yield strength of approximately 460 MPa, with good fatigue resistance and weldability when proper heat treatment is applied.
